Mastering

Our mastering facility is currently under total reconstruction. The room is designed for 5.1 mastering and the construction is entirely made by myself (Per Sjösten), with some very useful comments by my associate Ingemar Ohlsson - perhaps the most legendary studio designer in Scandinavia. Appreciated contributions have also been made by Matts Odemalm at Svanå Milöteknik and Magnus Gustafson at Akustikmiljö in Falkenberg.

The main monitoring consists of five loudspeakers and two subs from the Dynaudio Acoustics Air 20 series. I’ve been working with these for the last five years and I’m still fascinated. They combine warmth and detail in a way that few competitors can match. The mastering is made with my Pyramix Masscore system, an Apogee Big Ben house clock and Apogee converters.
